DIY: Summer Ready Facial

It's official summer starts tomorrow! Has school, work, wind and everything in between given you a beat down? Well, I got you. Before you decide to book out your summer days; give your face a pick me up with this easy facial.

What you'll need:

Egg white of one egg
2 tbsps of cornmeal
7 drops of Rose hip oil (or oil of choice)
2 drops of Vanilla essential (or scent of choice)

Mess level:
Minimal

1. Poke a small hole into your egg and allow the white to drain in a container. Do not discard of the yolk you can use it for a cake or simply scramble it.
2. Add cornmeal, rose hip oil and vanilla.
3. Combine. The texture of this will be a paste. (Smells like cake if you use vanilla essential)
4. Apply to face and neck.
5. Gently massage face and neck while the scrub is still on
6. Allow to dry onto face. You'll know when it's time to wash your face has you'll experience stiffness of the face. Also the scrub will be less sticky and more dry to the touch.
7. Rinse scrub from face and proceed with one's respective facial regime.

Viola.
Rose hip oil is a nourishing oil that assists with damage and cell renewal. It was noted that it's a big plus in helping with wrinkles. Egg whites rids large pores, rashes, fine lines and maintains the elasticity of the skin. Cornmeal exfoliates. Vanilla essential was added to cut down on the scent of the egg.

Happy facial
God bless you

DIY: Fruit Mayo for Dry and Damaged Hair

Summer is in the air and it's time to let your hair down! But if you are guilty like I am for neglecting your hair because of being so busy then this treatment will be the greatest apology. Three simple ingredients with the most amazing properties. Mayonnaise, mulberry and mangoes. What! Yes. Mayonnaise is excellent for moisturizing the hair, protecting it from sun damage, restoring ph balance and stopping breakage. Mulberry rejuvenates the hair follicles; this is especially recommended for cancer patients who have done chemotherapy. In addition to rejuvenating, it retains one's natural hair colour. An absolute plus for premature graying. Mangoes are filled with vitamin A and E which treat dandruff and encourages scalp circulation. Now that I've told you about all their goodness, let's make it.

You will need:
1/2 cup of mayonnaise
1/3 cup of mulberries
1/3 cup mango (flesh)
1 tsp of shea butter (optional)
4 drops of rosemary essential or oil of choice (for scent)

Mess Level: High

1. Place the mayonnaise, mulberry and mango in a blender and thoroughly combine.
2. Mix in shea butter and essential oil.
3. Apply to dry hair and deep condition for 50 minutes to an hour.
4. Follow with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner
5 Style as desired.

This treatment is definitely a protein-moisture treatment but following up with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner is very important. The hair will feel strong and straw-like so that balance is needed. This treatment is especially beneficial if you intend on heat styling, the end results are strong, smooth and soft hair. Additionally, running this through a strainer or Muslim cloth to remove any excess debris.

Happy Deep Conditioning

Wash Day Experience: Washing Transitioning Kid's Hair With Parnevu

Hi everyone! I recently had the opportunity to try out three products from the Parnevu Extra Dry Line, and I chose the Salon Shampoo, After Shampoo Conditioner, and the Scalp Therapy. I figured you guys had seen enough of my hair, so I decided to display the review on my sister's hair, but I also tested out the products on mine as well.

The Honest Company Vitamins - Health and Wellness

my sister has been transitioning since December '13, and her hair hadn't been washed or detangled for about 2 months. She's in the fourth grade, and her hair still accumulates a lot of dirt from recess and exercising during the week.

PARNEVU Extra Dry Salon Shampoo:  The shampoo had a light consistency, and suds. It didn't strip her hair, and I found it to be very moisturizing, Although this shampoo contains sulfates, I could've sworn it didn't, while I used it on her hair and mine.  It also cleansed her hair thoroughly and left no build up.

PARNEVU Extra Dry After-Shampoo Conditioner: This one my hair absolutely disliked, but my sister's transitioning hair really liked it. I was inspired to try it on hers, mostly because the product just has that texture that lets you know it would work on smoother or finer hair, and her's is definitely smoother compared to mine, and of a finer texture. It easily detangled her hair, and I was impressed with how the comb glided through, because detangling is hardly a breeze when it comes to her hair.

After applying the Dry Scalp Therapy
PARNEVU Extra Dry Scalp Therapy: This one was both our favorites, it was super moisturizing, had a ton of slip, and she sad her hair felt like cotton candy. and mine felt great. It is originally meant for the scalp, and I did try it on mine while my scalp was severely itchy, and it helped a lot, but sadly the next day I had a ton of build up. So we started using it as a leave in on the length of our hair instead.

The shampoo and conditioner did smell like a neutralizing shampoo, which I didn't like, but I did love the smell of the Dry Scalp Therapy. My intention was to deep condition her hair after rinsing out the conditioner, but the line was super moisturizing, that I ended up applying the scalp therapy as a leave in, and sealed with a mix of amla and argan oils.

Be sure to check out more Parnevu products on their Website, and follow the via Twitter and Facebook
