First Impressions: Alikay Naturals Aloe Berry Gel

Hey guys! This is Victoria Sallie from the Tresses and Treats blog. You know that product that you buy on a whim and it winds up sitting in your product stash for months on end? That's what I experienced with the Alikay Naturals Aloe Berry Gel. I purchased the sample size during their Cyber Monday sale after Thanksgiving, and barely touched it until recently. Here were my thoughts:

• Ingredients: Aloe Vera, Infused with essential oils and Berries, Botanical blend, Coconut Oil, Almond Oil , Natural fragrance
• I love the ingredients included in this product, because it doesn't contain any harsh chemicals. I just wish that it had more consistency to it (I don't know, it's a mental thing!)
• It has a pleasant smell and a very light consistency. It's not thick like Eco Styler gel; in fact it favors the Kinky Curly Custard.
• I used this gel for both wash n go and for a twist out. I noticed that it made my hair feel kind of crunchy if I applied too much.
• This product definitely kept my hair shiny, which I was grateful for.
• I like using this product to slick down my edges and 'baby hairs' lol. I apply a little bit, brush the hairs down in place, and secure with a scarf for a few minutes (or overnight). It looks soft and natural the next day.
• I don't think that I would buy this again because I don't like the consistency of it. It's too thin, and I feel like I wind up using more to make sure that my hair comes out well.
• I caught this product on sale & I bought the sample, but I don't think it's worth $10 for an 8oz container. I spent like $4 on my Eco Styler gel last year and it's still thriving to this day.
